Its flexible and universal enough for every riding discipline

"My Equicizer has exceeded my expectations and enabled me to ‘ride’ when being outside on a real horse was just not practical.”
– Lynne, The Medicine Horse Center Equine Assisted Therapies
Using the correct riding seat your leg muscles virtually bring the Equicizer to life. When in motion, the Equicizer simulates a real horse's movement, allowing you to exercise, stretch and practice your technique. This allows you to improve your riding posture, positioning, balance, coordination, and fitness in a safe controlled manner, developing both ability and confidence.
"...just took my first ride and he surpassed my expectations. What a great way to clock more time in the saddle when I can't get out to the barn.”
– Cathy & "Noah" (Cathy's Equicizer)
The Equicizer is the competitive advantage for many jockeys riding for the win! If you are an experienced rider there may be times that you are not able to ride enough to stay fit, sharp and flexible. As a young jockey the Equicizer allows riders to workout, practice and exercise by simulating riding maneuvers in all levels and styles of racing and competitive riding safely. The Equicizer makes it possible for you to ride, maintain and even improve your form, skills and fitness during your free time at home.
Instruction and Training
Providing early riding instruction can be challenging. Beginners or apprentice riders may have limited opportunities to ride as horses are not always available. Teaching beginners on certain horses can also be tricky for both the student and the horse. Many instructors who use an Equicizer are able to increase their business by integrating an Equicizer into their lessons as it can be used all day and never tires. With the Equicizer many basic skills like reining technique, whip switching, leg and body positioning and balance can be practiced and honed to perfection in a completely safe environment.
Instructors: The Equicizer is a great way to reduce risk with students, and is a great tool for evaluations. Allowing students to practice basic skills repeatedly without the wear and tear on your horses!
Rehabilitation and Therapy
The serious or professional rider needs to regain strength and flexibility that will get him/her back in the saddle fit and strong. Basic exercises used in physical therapy alone do not always recondition the areas of the body that are essential to riding. But working with the Equicizer, you will use those essential areas that will aid your return with strength and confidence. Many rehabilitation centers and PATH certified trainers use the Equicizer as a primary tool.
The Equicizer also offers fun alternative ways of conducting therapeutic exercises for children and adults with disabilities. They’re currently being used in private homes, hippotherapy centers, rehabilitation facilities, youth outreach centers, and recreational & therapeutic horseback riding programs. The Equicizer has helped improve the lives of those with physical, mental and emotional challenges.
It has been a proven therapeutic aid for those suffering from arthritis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, spinal cord injury, head trauma, paralysis, amputation, and stroke. It has also been a useful tool for those with emotional & learning disabilities from autism to down syndrome.
The Equicizer is warm and friendly in appearance, yet built incredibly strong. Exercises beyond the typical horseback riding positions can be applied with stretching, strengthening and balancing in a safe controlled manner and can be conducted with both patient and therapist on one Equicizer.
